Staff were excellent and so attentive, despite speaking limited English they were always willing to help - ie giving directions, extra pillows etc.
Room was minimal but perfect for the price - had a comfy double bed in a private room that was quiet and had an AC which is all we were after!

I had booked two individual nights, and could easily swop them for the same room, and the very kind lady at reception just charged me very little extra for the more expensive 2nd room. I had a terrace, it was quite (except the bus) I loved looked TV in the lounge (Eurovision) with other quests. I loved it is really near the stations. I highly recommend it!

The hotel was just as expected and being fairly new was in good shape. The staff were excellent, far better than some 4 to 5 star hotels we have stayed in. Ideal location for a concert we were going to nearby. The breakfast was also excellent value for money. -

For a two-star apartment Doña Elvira was the best we can get. As you
have to be aware of those two stars, there is nothing to be
disappointed about.
The location may not be right in the middle of Málaga´s center, but in a three minute walk you will be at the great shopping street.

The apartment was well-equipped and conveniently located with lots of
restaurants and bars around the corner. Some reviews say that the area
is dangerous which I totally disagree with - some of the surrounding
streets are a but shabby but Málaga is undergoing but we didn't
mind. The staff were very friendly and were more than happy to answer
our questions.

walking distance. The entire area is filled with great bars, restaurants
and tapas establishments. We had the family suite, it was huge with a
sitting/bedroom that contained two balconys, two twin beds, a large

Malaga as destination for city-trip is a wonderful place. You can visit
it literally on foot within 3-4 days. It has enough to offer for
tourists seeking relaxing on a beach, hiking, enjoying excellent
cuisine or visiting museums. Casa de las Mercedes is as neat, romantic
and unique as it seems on the website photos. All receptionists are
lovely, well English-speaking and helpful ladies. Breakfast was

This hotel is in an excellent location, it is an easy walk to both the
new and the old towns. Our room was a good size with a comfortable bed.
The room temperature was also comfortable for this time of year. The
bathroom was a good size and did not fog-up, or get wet after a shower.

This is a very nice hotel and a good value in Malaga. I paid about
$60/night for a double. The room was large and clean and the bed was
extremely comfortable. The hotel is located right next to a highway, so
there was some street noise, but it was not as bad as I expected
(although I sleep with ear plugs anyway). The hotel is right next to the
city's old quarter, and about a 20 minute walk (or 5 minute cab
ride) to the beach. Overall, I definitely recommend it.
