  Silken Puerta ligger perfekt, alldeles intill den nya fina tågstationen och med omedelbar närhet till busstationen som tar en vidare ut i Spanien, till Granada tex dit vi åkte i 2 dagar med buss. I hotellreceptionen pratade man bra engelska vilket inte är vanligt i Malaga. Man är i Spanien, det märks, genuint.   Staff were excellent and so attentive, despite speaking limited English they were always willing to help - ie giving directions, extra pillows etc. Room was minimal but perfect for the price - had a comfy double bed in a private room that was quiet and had an AC which is all we were after! Location is A+. 3min walk to train and bus stations and 1... vad folk säger » 0min to walk into the centre - we didn't need to use any public transport while we were there (about a 20min walk to the beach but it was a pleasant s - I had booked two individual nights, and could easily swop them for the same room, and the very kind lady at reception just charged me very little extra for the more expensive 2nd room. I had a terrace, it was quite (except the bus) I loved looked TV in the lounge (Eurovision) with other quests. I loved it is really near the stations. I highly recommend it!

  First of all, it's not a hotel, it's a guest house, with small rooms, and breakfast is at a local cafe, so don't expect all the facilities of a 5 star hotel.   The hotel was just as expected and being fairly new was in good shape. The staff were excellent, far better than some 4 to 5 star hotels we have stayed in. The room was a suite, pretty modern, spacious and clean. 2. Location perfect. Few mins to the old town over the river. Great old town super cafes shops bars etc. About 5 mins walk too to the centro alamo train station, which is the terminus for the airport . 12 min journey to terminal building so perfectly easy and convenient transfer. 1.70 euros single. Taxi is 20.

  For a two-star apartment Doña Elvira was the best we can get. As you have to be aware of those two stars, there is nothing to be disappointed about. The location may not be right in the middle of Málaga´s center, but in a three minute walk you will be at the great shopping street. Shopping: - 2 Minutes to the supermarket, wich has a big market Hal... vad folk säger » l next to it (opening times: Mo-Sa ~8am - 3pm!!) - 2 Minutes to the theater - 5 Minutes to the Plaza de la Merced (where Picasso was born) - 15 Minute - The apartment was well-equipped and conveniently located with lots of restaurants and bars around the corner. Some reviews say that the area is dangerous which I totally disagree with - some of the surrounding streets are a but shabby but Málaga is undergoing but we didn't mind. The staff were very friendly and were more than happy to answer our questions.

  Ten day stay, based our selves there to enjoy both Malaga and surrounds. Apartment is excellent and location in old part of town superb, easy walk to beach and multitude of restaurants around port area. Enjoyed day trips to Grenada, Ronda and the coast from Malaga to Marbella. Also enjoyed being a "resident" of the old town, exploring the Castle, ... vad folk säger » the sights, the restaurants and bars. Martin, the manager, and Pilar, his assistant, were incredibly helpful and friendly with local knowledge and rec - The location and facilities were excellent. The apartment was well equipped and finished to a very high standard. I phoned the company who manage the apartment when we arrived and there was someone there within minutes to show us around. It was overall an excellent apartment right in the centre of Malaga's old town and good value for money.
