  We loved the location and the extra space. Been travelling for a long time and enjoyed being able to cook our own meals. There is a better supermarket than those named by the apartment next to the #11 red bus stop (ask at the tourist information). BEST OF ALL... we had a problem with two broken lights and toaster. Next to everything but still in a small street. Only as noisy as the noise was from the the cute bar around the corner. Didn't bother us. Was easy to come and go. Good for cooking if you wish to do so.

  Excellent location in the middle of old town. Short walk to Cathedral and Palace Alcazar. Next to tapas bars. Check Teresa bar opposite for delicious tapas and try local 'tinto de verano' drink which is a mix of wine with lemon. The hostal is located in a very old house so ready for a piece of history. Place is clean and quiet, friendly staff. This place has - The place had loads of character, we loved the quirky shapes and designs of the place and our room was delightful, and there are some lovely public spaces. The location was absolutely brilliant, right in the heart of Santa Cruz and close to the cathedral. It was amazing to get such good value accommodation in this spot. The staff were lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities are basic, but for people on a budget, the Vergara is a cut above.

The communication before and during our stay was excellent, he is flexible and took the time to recommend restaurants and places of interest when we arrived (which is also compiled in his very own guide in the apartment, along with all manuals and instructions for equipment).   Easy 9min walk from bus-station. Joan on the night desk was very cheerful and helpful, despite limited English (but he makes the effort). 24hr front desk. Nice wall tiling. Standing fans in rooms are very effective. - big twin room. Clean and functional. Nice staff who were helpful even if they dont speak English.

  Very clean, beautiful Apartment with air conditioner, you can find so many places to eat near the apartment, also two super markets, if you want to cook yourself.   Relativt bra läge - The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and it is a good breakfast for the money - We have stayed in the Hostel twice and will stay again.
