  This hotel was a great value for the money. It was clean, refurbished, friendly staff, centrally located, gay-friendly, etc. Particularly liked the free Internet and computer in the room itself.   This is the second time I stayed at the Hotel Sterling and it was fantastic, I was given the chance to see the Room first as I had asked for a quiet room, and knowing Madrid the Spanish like to party out in the streets till all hours of the night! - I was given a very large room at the back of the Hotel which I asked for away from the lifts. So you can go everywhere easily.

  I liked that this hostel is located straight in the very heart of Madrid, it is not very expensive, the scinery out of the window is very beautifull on the buildings of the city, personally I like it. The rooms are cleaned every day, the stuff is very friendly .There is a central heating and it was warm in february. You can buy water inside.   The location of the hotel - I was travelling with a suitcase and the hotel is literally just around the corner from a metro stop.   Very good staff service - Very central for shopping, theatres, sightseeing and eating. There was a Metro station less than 5 minutes walk away. There were lots of good restaurants, cafes and bars nearby but the rooms were quiet.
