  We had some problem the first night: they booked a room for us in another hotel 'cause we were in sort of overbooking. But from the second day the stay was great. To apologize they leave us one of the best room (and for a day more), give us breakfast for free (at the bar nearby) and discount part of the ammount. The place is in a great position, the room was clean and quiet, just little bit dark - The place was super clean. The interieur was modern and cosy, and the matresses were excellent for sleeping. Great location for sightseeing, shopping, or beach.

  The bed was of really good quality, and the linen was also. Great to get into a comfy bed after the day in such a a great city. Sowes/toilets always in good condition and enough to share with the few guests staying. Microwav/fridge in hallway leading to a small terrace which is good for chilling out.. Our room was very clean and functional. It is close to the downtown. Also extremely convenient that La Isla Hostal is a couple of blocks from Estacio Nord (bus station) and Estacio de França (railway station). Friendly and helpful stuff. In my opinion, it is an ideal choice for budget-minded travelers.

  Terrific location for first visit to Barcelona - walked everywhere. Excellent building with elevator. Kitchen open all day for easy access to refrig, coffee, etc. - I loved the fact that the breakfast was laid out in a kitchen that was open to all guests all day. It made it feel as though you were staying in a home.

  Great location! Comfortable, good value for money. Staff was nice and helpful. There is a space that you can use for preparing breakfast and shared fridge is available. Computer with internet available. Free tea & coffee in a hostel was also appreciated for waking up and in the evening, after city walks. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and come back again. - That place so close to Casa Batillo, my room was so small, but comfortable and clean. Service was super polite, speak many languages, I can speak with them english, spanish and even russian. Big thanks to a girl in reception Katya. Super polite, super kind, told me where to go, what to visit at that time and really is so so nice person. I can imagine who is the boss of hotel if they have such a wonderful staff!   The hostal is a very nice apartment (or two joint apartments) on the 3rd floor of a beautiful modernist house, with these old-style elements like shutters, tiled floor, wicker sofa, and separate taps for cold and hot water, and our room had a beautiful little balcony with forged railings. Everything in the apartment was not new, but it was clean ... vad folk säger » and everything was functioning well - cold/hot water, electricity. The hostesses, Maria and Martina, were very nice and helpful. Living in this real b - The entire hostal has great design features and the owners knew what vintage furniture pieces to ad in order to preserve its wonderful architecture. I especially loved the strained-glass windows and the original tiles in all rooms. My room was spaceous, with a great street view from the small balcony. The location is perfect: 5 minutes walk to Paseig de Gracia and another 5 minutes to Placa de Catalunya (also, metro stations and bus stations are very close). The owners are really nice and ready

  Good location. Friendly owners. Nice design. Big balcony where you can sit with your friends or family members and look at the street throught the big windows.   It doesn't look like much at first, but the venue has actually been a pleasant surprise. Staff seemed a little uncertain, but the room exceeded expectations. The place is clean, well-equipped, there are even baggage lockers available, and it's really just a few steps to the airport train and metro at Passeig de Gracia.   I was staying for 3 noghts, and asked to not be woken up in the morning by the cleaner. I had my privacy, and got new towels every day while I was out. The staff at the reception was really friendly and polite! Very pationet when I asked for directiones:) I also like where the hotel is situated. Thanks for a good stay. It was evident that a lot of thought had gone into providing for the needs of travellers, eg the microwave for heating snacks and the availability of info about the city. The breakfast was excellent value aside from the coffee/juice!
