Hostal Baler is considered one of the budget friendly hostals. Although the room was small, but for me as solo person was good. The location of the hostal is excellent , its almost 2 mins away from the magnificent Plaza Espagana. You have alot of facilities in the hostal area (shops , cafes, etc..).

This is a family-owned place that is very well maintained and has a congenial staff and atmosphere. For protracted stays the rooms are better suited for single occupancy where space allows a comfortable chair. But for short stays the twin (there are no doubles) occupancy is perfectly adequate. 1. LOCATION is excellent, very close to Metro station (Placa Sants) & several bus shelters (easy to go and explore the city). Hotel also near the Sants Train Station and ALSA bus ticket counter (if you want to go to other city by bus).

This is a modest accommodation in a very good location near the main
train station in Barcelona. If you are a walker like me, you can get to
all the sights by foot. Alternatively, you can get everywhere by Metro
which is a few steps away from the hotel. The room was small but
adequate, it was clean. It wan't pristine, but it was acceptable. My
room had a balcony which was an amazing bonus. The WiFi was strong. The
towels were changed daily. The hotel has elevator and a 24hr desk.

We stayed for 2 nights and really liked this place. We were on 2nd floor room with balcony facing the road (nothing fancy on the road but good to get the sunlight in the room).

First we came there was a lady in the reception who was not really friendly, but then we met another lady who was super friendly, she showed us everything and was really helpful, our room was very nice, cosy, it was a bit loud because the room was near the road and on the 1st floor, but it was not a problem for us, there is a nice kitchen you can make some food, tea or coffee, very convinient. I was staying for 3 noghts, and asked to not be woken up in the morning by the cleaner. I had my privacy, and got new towels every day while I was out. The staff at the reception was really friendly and polite! Very pationet when I asked for directiones:) I also like where the hotel is situated. Thanks for a good stay. I will be back!:) -

The room is very nice, we booked the room for three. I think the size of room might be the issue for somebody but for us we think it is fair and lovely if compared with the price. The staffs are very helpful, although we have a little problem in communication but they are really kind and energetic. Love it!! -
