This hostal is a converted apartment covering the first floor of the building.It has managed to retain many of the original features and character. The rooms at the front have balconies looking out onto the Ramblas Cataluyna. It is within walking distance of La Rambla and very close to the metro and buses to all the other attractions.

The location is ideal for exploring the city on foot.It is next to The Passeig De Gracia and very close to Las Ramblas.Extremely friendly staff that helped us orginize our trip.Our room (Nr 8) was spacious,clean,comfortable and very quiet.There are many options around the hostal for eating,shopping and many more.There was hot water and very strong wifi signal all the time.It was generally very well organized with door codes and everything needed provided before we had even arrived!

Egentligen det mesta men framförallt att hotellet låg så centralt. Bra att frukostbuffé erbjuds på hotellet så att man slipper gå ut och leta café första dagen. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal (om än på knackig engelska!). Mycket fräscht och rent! - bra och rent hotell, trevligt poolområde

The apartment was lovely. Nice little balconies overlooking a park. Plenty of space. We were very happy to have the kitchen facilities, and the price was the same as a regular hotel. Frukosten var mycket mångsidig o vackert framdukad. Inredningen i hela hotellet var modern o välfungerande. Åt en kväll middag i hotellets matsal, maten var god men det kändes lite tråkigt att sitta i ett källarrum utan fönster. - Bra hotell med kanonläge och hög standard, personal som kund engelska och var väldigt behjälpliga.

Stayed for eight nights. Fantastic apartment with full kitchen in a great neighborhood.Two bedrooms, two baths, and a terrace for my wife and me and out adult daughter for the price of a hotel room. Beautiful apartment, with all the facilities you would require - right
down to a coffee making machine, dish washer, iron and ironing board,
hair dryer and fantastic furniture. Spotless on arrival and in a great
location. Being just away from the main centre, it is lovely and quiet

We stayed at the hotel on the last weekend of our honeymoon, I had mentioned it was our honeymoon on the reservation but not upon arrival. I cannot fault one detail about this hotel. The staff are very friendly and willing to help, wherever required. The rooms are well appointed, extremely comfortable and clean. There's a great roof top bar area with a small plunge pool to cool off. Lastly, the location is fabulous. Only a few minutes walk to La Ramblas. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

I got a single room with private toilet and bathroom. The staff knew English a little, but they are very kind and helpful. They tried the best to answer my questions. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was really better than what I expected from a hostel.

Hostel fontanela is great-location is few minutes from city center and

Apartment was very stylish and clean. Had everything we wanted.....plenty of sleeping space, nice sized kitchen and dining area and lots of toiletries and towels provided. The location was also ideal.
