  The friendly helpful couple who owned the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble, providing scales to weigh our luggage, milk for morning tea before a very early departure and a good fairly plain dinner (inspite of a big football match on the tv!) We liked the atmosphere and decor, which was very imaginative, lovely rustic furniture, loads of flowers... vad folk säger » and plants - the lady of the house was very artistic. The hotel doesn't look much from the outside, but don't be deceived, inside is lovely. - Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location: it's close (some 10km) from downtown Santa Cruz with a good and easy road to go to and from and yet, you're in the countryside (very quiet) +, since it's relatively high altitude, it's likely you will be above the clouds in the winter... Although it's far from the Teide volcano as the crow flies, the road to the Park is pretty straight, it might take less time to drive to the Park from Las Cañadas than from a location at the coast!
