  Visited mid December so there was snow. Lovely apartment in a beautiful part of the world. Small alpine looking towns and snow caped mountains. Utility costs included in price, wifi and free parking across the road.

  We stayed in 20 hotels over a 6 week trip through Spain. While we stayed in many good hotels we would rank this the best place we stayed in. Very friendly, owner, excellent facilities and an excellent restaurant associated with this quite small hotel. We would highly recommend the half pension option. Esterri d'Aneu was an excellent base to explo... vad folk säger » re the the surrounding mountains. - A very warm welcome from charming host Jaime; excellent breakfasts in the very characterful restaurant; nothing too much trouble; the restaurant is probably the best in Esterri d'Aneu, with a good selection of wines, beers and licors.   We were in a room overlooking the river which really was a treat. Owner didn't speak any English but that just added to the whole enjoyable stay.would recommend highly.
