  nice staff; rooms lines around a traditional style court decorated with Islamic art. twenty meters on the left of the hostel is a little grocery selling foods and commodities at a low price - The hotel had parking and the location was excellent - just a short walk to La Mezquita.   The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided recommendations of where to eat at a reasonable price and places to visit and kindly marked these for us on a map. The rooms were nice and airy and very clean. They also served free tea and coffee between 4pm and 9pm which I thought was a nice touch. The hostal was great value for money - Lovely little courtyard oasis in the centre of the Hostal, small room but well laid out, and a fresh clean decor and comfortable bed. I was in one of the 4 rooms which face each other above the courtyard which meant the noise and privacy aspects concerned me on arrival but it turned it to be very quiet in the evening, nearly all the guests seemed to be in bed at 11pm. The free tea/coffee and cake put out in the afternoon was a lovely touch and really appreciated. Check in was friendly and effic

  Excellent location near to the city centre (old town) and to the sightseeings. The room was simply but comfortable, with good bathroom. City Cordoba is an outstanding place - warmly recommended to everyone interested in the history. Grand place, nice people. - The young man at reception during the daytime was particularly helpful

  Fantastisk personal och mycket bra rum. Allt var perfekt. - Bra läge, hjälpsam personal. Vi hade problem med ett element och fick byta rum utan diskussion. Rent, ganska rymliga rum, stora fina badrum.

  The pensione is central, quiet, clean and comfortable. The air con was a pleasant respite from 39 degree temp outside for a mid afternoon siesta. The hosts were friendly and pleasant although we were new to Spain and they had little English we didn't converse much. Entry was by ringing the doorbell which was good for security but made us feel awkw... vad folk säger » ard when we thought they might be resting. - We stayed 1 night in Pension el Portillo and the room was perfect for that time. It is a rather small family-run business in a very good location (around 5 mins walk from La Mosquita and Alcazar), clean and comfortable, with a lovely owner. I would not choose it for longer stay (3-4 days) but it was perfect for 1 night.

  The location is to die for! We had a car and could actually park it very close to the hostal for free. We did everything walking from there. The rooms are very cosy with AC (needed in this city) and private bathrooms. - near bus station and location is perfect!!
