  Excellent friendly staff. We really enjoyed the stay. We had a nice apartment overlooking the pool. Entertainment at night for the children was good. (There was also a daytime program of activities for children but we didnt go to any). The location close to Cambrils centre is great.   Just back from a 5 day stay in Hostal Platja. Arrived at 9 pm and rang the bell. A very friendly gentleman checked us in. We were give a choice of 2 rooms. Rooms were probably a little small. Had A/C which worked well but a little noise if you are a light sleeper. Also a mini fridge with two bottles of water, which is a very nice touch. Bed made - Very budget friendly at a superb location in this friendly town that has lots of good restaurants and boutique shops.
