Grand, elegant hotel; small enough for staff recognition; large and beautifully appointed bedroom with an excellent bathroom;wonderful location near La Ramblas; extraordinary dining room. We are repeat visitors to this hotel.
Very minor issues - the room was a little warmer than we would have liked and the thermostat didn't respond to a lower temperature setting; would have liked a stool to sit on in the bathroom although some would have used the edge of the roman bath.
We enjoyed everything about the hotel. The staff were very professional and polite. The decor was spectacular. The dining experience was fabulous. We will return to this hotel on our next visit to Barcelona. Thanks to all for making our stay very special.
Everything was near to perfection, got free upgrade because all rooms of type i booked were occupied. Breakfast is not on a cheap side but worth every cent.
One small complaint - please serve some decent tea at breakfast instead of cheap Twinings

Absolutely nothing - it is truly perfect!
Wonderful old world elegance (Bellman with top hat) combined subtly with modern technology (TV imbedded invisibly in mirror over fireplace in our room). Perhaps the grandest hotel we have ever stayed in. It was formerly The Ritz. Price no higher than other good European hotels.

We loved our stay at this Hotel Palace! Perfect, professional and very polite and helping staff. We had a wonderful room with a balcony and good view (standard). It was perfect, spotlessly clean, light, not noisy. They cleaned the room several times a day. There was everything you need in the room, including tooth paste and brushes, slippers and bath-gowns. Very comfortable bed. It is very traditional, aristocratic classic hotel, with classic light interior at the same time with all the modern facilities. It does not look old or outdated. Everything is new but traditional, European - we like this combination most of all. Very beautiful building, 5-7 minutes' walk from the Catalunia Squaire from where you can go sightseeing around Barcelona by Bus Touristic. Gaudi houses are 10-12 minutes' walk from the hotel too. There are many good small cafes and shops around. Our room was ready 2-3 hours before 2p.m., so we did not have to wait after the airport when we arrived at the hotel. High class hotel, though we have lived in many best ones around the world and can compare. Palace is a very good hotel, probably the best classic hotel in traditional Art Nouveau Barcelona. We will come there again for sure. And we highly recommend it to all the tourists, especially for those who come to go on excursions, see around Barcelona etc.
We liked everything! Maybe there is only little wish - to have more Russian channels on TV, as there is only one now.

The gourmet restaurant Celis was superb; one of the best meals I've ever eaten. The check in people helped us with our cell phones to get on their WiFi.
They could not find us at first. Our info. was stapled to another person's papers.

the rain shower made water go all over the bathroom, and there were water stains around the shower and tub.

It is a marvelous hotel with an excellent location in the Eixample district of Barcelona. Perfect if you seek comfort and luxury.
The receptionist at the check-in changed the tone of his voice, and his behaviour in general, when I first replied in Portuguese to his spanish question, as if I was, somehow, unworthy of being there. I found it outrageous. I usually speak English in this situations yet in Spain people are so nice and understand Portuguese that I end up speaking half Portuguese half Spanish. The situation was ridiculous since I have double nationalité and am pround of both.
The Hotel is beautiful and all the staff were lovely to us. We found the bellboy who greeted us especially friendly. (I think he is American)

This is by far the best hotel I have been in! even compared to the 7 star hotels in Dubai. -The staff team are incredible -Concierge is among the best you can find -Location is perfect -The hotel gives off the vibe that you are staying in a premium royal palace -Perfect place for newly weds and family -Every minute of my stay there the staff put all their efforts to make me feel like royalty and never let me down on any of my requests. -My next forthcoming stays in Barcelona will be in this hotel.

At this pretty hotel, we liked everything!!! The hotel is very beautiful and luxurious inside. The waiters in the lobby or in caelis restaurant meet the highest requirements. With them a pleasure to talk. Concierge превиликим will gladly answer all your questions. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable, very quiet. The hotel is located in the heart of the city and is a plus since and shopping walk on the beach, take a stroll in the fun! I enjoyed a lovely stay only in this hotel!
I expected first class hotel and it met my expectations

The Hotel is beautiful,but there were very few large bath towels, no small wash clothes and no extra pillows. Also we checked in at 10:00 am and left our bags since our mini suites were not ready. We gave our passport copies, our credit cards and all info, but when we came back at 5 pm from sightseeing,our bags were still not brought to our rooms. We were 3 couples and were exhausted. They said they needed another signature before they could put the bags in the rooms. It was ridiculous since we didn't have our room keys. When, we came back and got the keys we could have signed the last paper. It was very annoying waiting 30 minutes for our bags.
We were very tired and decided to have dinner at the hotel . We did not eat in the 1 Michelin star restaurant, but in the more casual one. 2 of us didn't eat because it took almost 2 hours for the main course (broiled scallops). They wanted to charge us but we refused to pay as we canceled it an hour before.

The location was perfect - you could walk everywhere - the staff was so helpful and friendly. the room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is the old Ritz hotel and it at kept all its appeal -- would go back for sure.

The gourmet food in the hotel is something that must be tried. The hotel cocktail lounge was very cool and had a wonderful atmosphere.
The WiFi service was very poor. Speed was only 400 kbps, single device and all non-standard ports were blocked, so most web services other than web browsing do not work. Hopeless to conduct business. Apart from this, everything was perfect, but this is enough to stop me recommending it to anyone else who needs business-grade network access.

Everything was perfect. My husband lost a wallet and the staff were wonderfully helpful when we were feeling a bit stressed - we were so glad we were at this hotel! Breakfast was gourmet. Room was beautiful/luxurious. Such a treat!
