I'm not sure why they call this a hostel? I felt like it was more an
inn. The attention to details were very nice. Greeted with a glass of
Sangria upon arrival. Chocolate on your night stand. The owner is an
antiques collector. Hence the name. Be in mind, it is filled with them!!
It can be a bit overwhelming at first. You get used it. They even had
movies in English for us that don't speak Spanish and want to watch
something besides Spanish T.V. It was located in a great area. Easy

Was looking for a last minute booking for weekend trip to Barcelona & chose L' Antic Espai due to reviews. Happily I can only agree & add to the positive vibe - it was a perfect little room (little is true but it was ample), brilliant location, amazing breakfast and fantastic staff, Danny in particular living up to his online reputation. Our trip would not have been as blessed without his knowledge & help. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful stay at L'Antic Espai and highly recommend it for visitors.
A beautiful oasis located perfectly in the centre of Barcelona. I loved the furniture, antiques, decor, space available. Great thought has been given to the comfort of guests. The staff were very helpful. A hotel we will return to.
The room and general areas of this hotel are simply amazing, decor of a past era traditional paintings, figurines furniture etc worthwhile to take the time to browse the corridors . Location was good, room comfortable.
It was a very unique and beautiful hotel! Definitely not like many others. We had a nice sitting area in our room and an amazing outdoor terrace.

I am used to the small rooms in Europe. Keep in mind, the rooms are
small and filled with furniture. So if you have a bit of luggage and you
are of larger stature, I don't think you would be comfortable. But
as far as I'm concerned, I liked it there.
Should warn visitors that it is a walk up. We were not prepped for that with our luggage.
I staied room 108 which has no real window and balcony.. next time I will reserve definitily rooms with terrace...
