  The hotel is situated just across the river from the old town, and close to monuments, cultural facilities and shops. The hotel is very comfortable, the staff welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast superb. The free mini-bar was a godsend as we arrived very late in the evening. We had an excellent lunch in the Blanc restaurant - and regretted hav... vad folk säger » ing gone into the old town to eat the previous night - The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were waiting for a package to be delivered and the hotel staff couldn't do enough to make sure it arrived safely even offered to call the delivery company, without us even asking them for help. We were very impressed with them. The restaurant attached was very nice and really reasonably priced, we ate there both nights of our stay.

  The hotel is a beautiful, comfortable hotel and the staff very friendly. The location is superb, a short walk into the old town and great restaurants. Good shopping all around the hotel. The breakfast was very nice. We had a deluxe apartment which could easily hold a family in great comfort with two bedrooms, kitchen and sizable living room ar... vad folk säger » ea. It's an easy place to use as a base camp for day trips to the coast or other areas in the Costa Brava. We were directed to close by free parking - Actually didn't stay at the hotel due to technical problems but was booked in to a hotel round the corner (and had a junior suite!). Came back to Nord 1901 to use the pool and was offered a free drink. Staff at Nord 1901 are excellent, very friendly and willing to do anything to make your stay a pleasant one. The hotel is also very close to the town centre (by foot) where there are some very good restaurants (I'd recommend Mimolet which has excellent 30 euro menu)

  The location, nestled in the historic district, very interesting, charming. The person at the front desk, when we finally arrived, very helpful. He even moved his car so we could park close to the hotel. Breakfast was good,liked having the fried eggs, in addition to the other offerings. The room, however, was freezing. - It was just as described,... vad folk säger » very clean. Our bedding and towels were changed after two days which was a treat. Others had complained about the church bells but we had no problem and slept well in the comfortable beds.
