  I fell sick (fever) the day I went to Machupicchu so I stay inside my hotel room the whole day and night after my brief afternoon visit to the historical site.   Everything about the hotel helped to make our visit to Machu Picchu work. Breakfast started early and provided plenty of nourishment so that we could get to the ruins before sunrise. The rooms were comfortable with terrific beds. The hotel had fruit in the dining area available to guests all day.   Without doubt, visiting Machu Picchu is an incredible experience and so when I booked this trip, the most important aspect of our trip to make perfect, was the full day we'd be at the site. Also built a fire in lobby fireplace so we could warm ourselves. Wonderful views of raging river and mountains!

  The location was great, 2min from train station and 2min walk to catch the bus for Machu Picchu (perfect to get the first buses to watch the sun rise!). The staff were really friendly, waited for us at the station, helped with storing our luggage safely for the day. Lovely view from window onto the rapid waters & mountain, internet available on f - Excellent value in a town which is otherwise overpriced for tourists. The room was absolutely spotless and well cared-for, comfortable bed, piping hot water 24/7, free bottled water, flatscreen tv, decent wifi signal in the rooms and a beautiful view over the river. The location was also quite central - 2 minute walk either to the train station or the buses up to Machu Picchu. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Great place.

  We stayed at this hotel when going to visit Macchu Picchu. We were defrauded by our ticket broker, and even though the owners of this hotel spoke no English (and us no Spanish), they really went out of their way to do everything they could to help us with the crooked ticket broker. - We stayed one night there.   Gringo Bill's is kind of a wild place. Full of stairs and twists and turns. It's another world, but that's what we travel for. We spent a little more for a junior suite. A very comfortable and clean room with spacious bathroom and a balcony. I'm not sure about the standard rooms, which looked a little dark. Breakfast was ample but the room was a l... vad folk säger » ittle dark for our taste. Best thing was the hotel desk staff, Claudia and Antonio, who bend over backward to help. If you choose to stay in Aguas Cal - The woman who greets us and runs the place was so welcoming and helpful. She let us use her laptop for a few hours when we had to change plans because of a family emergency at home. The beds were very comfortable, the room was quiet. The shower was hot and good pressure. The location is excellent; just off the main square, a couple of minutes walk to the bus station. Breakfast is set out early for those taking the first buses up to MP.

  I was a bit concerned booking this bb considering the low price in comparison with others in mp but I shouldn't have. The room is nice, clean and big enough (if I remember well, it even has a heater but we never used as we didn't need it), bed is comfy, water is hot, intenet is working and at least on the back it's very quiet.   The hotel rooms are beautifully designed, with a fireplace and a nice jacuzzi tub, and we had a nice view of the river from our room, though I'm not sure all rooms have the same view.   The hotel was such a great value for $40 considering that hotels over there are a lot more expensive than Cusco. The location was perfect and our room was very clean and nice! Plus, hot water pressure was awesome. It was the best hotel we stayed in Peru.   We got room 305, which was an interior room with two twins and a private bathroom. Since it was interior, it was likely quieter than other rooms. Towels and soap were provided, but not shampoo. There is a free computer terminal near the front desk with fast internet. Breakfast was included, and was good. The rooms were clean, there were some chairs in a common area - The staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. As soon as I made the reservation Edison wrote me an email, offering information and help to book tours and tickets. Thanks to him I could buy the student ticket to Machu Picchu. He also come to pick us up at the train station even though we didn´t ask for it. The hostel is very good located, the rooms are very confortable and clean. The breakfast is very good, with fresh organic papaya juice. I definitely recommend this hostel! Thanks Ediso
