  WE loved the surroundings which were scrubby and the mountains nearby. The cabin was large and very well equipped and in excellent condition - many kitchen appliances which worked well, warm enough for us who live in the tropics. The best feature of the hotel is of course the lake, which begins at the footsteps of the patio...   We rented a two-bedroom cabin. It was modern and comfortable and cozy to live in. The kitchen gave us ability to cook our own food in a very expensive area of Norway. The people who run the place arranged a tour to our hereditary family farm without have been asked to do it. We were so impressed with their thoughtfulness. Trave - Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. We rented a 2 bedroom cabin for 4 people and it was comfortable and very clean. The cabin has a small kitchen with hotplates, a small fridge and all the necessary utensils. We also enjoyed a private bathroom with shower and floor heating. The camping is 3 minutes away from the shops, harbor and railway station.

  The staff are all lovely. Brilliant location, only 5 mins drive to the Nigardsbreen Glacier. Lots of outdoor adventures to be had. Really good breakfast, delicious home made jams and apple juice.   For Norway, a reasonable price. We did not mind cleaning for ourselves at the end of our stay. Clean, modern, comfortable for a family. We enjoyed being able to cook our own meals. Most likely you need a car. It was summer, so we used this as a homebase. Some daytrips we enjoyed: Gudvangan and ferry to/from Flam. Great location - in a hour you can reach 1) Gudvangen to the East (great Naroyfjord nearby, and also stunning view from the serpantine road above the tonnel to Gudvangen), 2) great Hardangerfjord to the South 3) Sognefjord to the North (and near the road to Sognefjord you can walk over snow fields even in August!).   Loved everything about this place. We stayed here so that we could easy drive to Geiranger for the day to sight see.....we were there in late March so it was actually a 2 hr journey to get there because the road was closed the short way round, but was the most scenic drive ever and well worth it. I also liked the privacy, it was as if we owned the whole area with the beautiful mountain and lake backdrop. Lastly, this was the first cabin, cottage that allowed me to row a boat! Wifi was also working fine.
