  This was the most comfortable hostel I stayed in during my travels. In a very cute city away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, but just a 10 min walk + 15 min train ride to visit Amsterdam. If you need a vacation from your backpacking vacation, than this is the perfect hostel for you. - The hostel was located in a quiet corner of town, and is a very charming place. The rooms (I had a shared dorm) were very clean and comfortable. The staff too was very friendly and helpful. Lastly, Haarlem is a lovely place. There are many things to be seen while walking around.

  What a gem! Such a special place, right on a small canal. This is a home from home and I'd recommend staying in Haarlem rather than Amsterdam with children as it's 15 minutes by train into Amsterdam and the same time to the beautiful beach. Haarlem is a mini Amsterdam without the awful crowds and the house was a perfect haven.
