The owner Reibal and his staff were absolutely the best among all the riads we stayed at during our two-wk trip through Morocco. The Riad Le Calife is a wonderful experience, from the gracious welcome and the comfortable check in (with its mint tea), through the delightful rooms, garden, terraces, to the wonderful meals. You could not stay in a better place in Fes, in Morroco, or in North Africa. The staff and hosts are helpful, charming, engaging, informative, and happy. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.

The ryad is absolutely beautiful and a peaceful oasis from the madness of the medina just outside. The staff were wonderful, and the owner was very helpful in giving us advice on enjoying our stay.
