  Customer service at Pension Polaris was exceptional! Our host, Mr. Noh, spoke some Englsih, which was really helpful. He offered to pick us up at the Visitors' Information Center when we arrived at Gyeongju, gave us a quick tour in his car, showed us how to get around town by bus, and even took us to the supermarket. The somewhat hidden pension wa... vad folk säger » s not easy to locate as every house looked quite the same and our Korean was limited. The nearest bus stop was 5 minutes away only, though we definate - Owner personally greeted us when we checked in. He speaks English very well. He sat with us with a map and gave us the rundown of the most efficient way to see the sites, since we were on a tight schedule. He also gave us instruction sheets on how to get to the major attractions (and back to the pension from said locations), with addresses in Korean so you could show taxi drivers. Room was cozy, clean and uniquely decorated (lots of bright colors!). Kitchenette was useful, bathroom was standard

  The staff at the Hotel could not be a finer group of people looking after us during our stay. We enjoyed the comforts of a great local hotel. They made every effort to make sure my wife and I were comfortable during our stay. Buffet breakfast was scrummy. Other travellers give negative comments about the location but the hotel staff explained the buses and we had no issues. We enjoyed a walk around the lake as a break from the temples.

  Mrs park and Mr Kung are ver friendly and accommodating. They were happy to drive us to and from the bus stop and had up-to-the-minute info on the buses and local attractions. We travelled with elderly parents who appreciated the homely accommodation and small details which made it a relaxing stay. We stayed in the family room and chose to sleep Korean style which was an experience for the ki - Basically all the positive comments I read before booking are just true. I've travelled quite a lot and I don't remember many other places so welcoming and with such helpful and nice hosts as Mrs. Park. My visit to Gyeongju was thanks to all her advise and help a very nice holiday. About the distance to the city, one must know that in Gyeongju all the big hotels are also outside this small city and actually farther than this pension.

  I like everything. I booked the rooms based on the reviews on letsbookhotel.com. It was exactly what they said. The location is near to the tourism office, bus-stop and eateries. The owner is very friendly and kind even though they speak little English. They provide free drinks in the mini bar and a facial mask for the lady. :) They also provide free laundry if yo - Location is perfect, 3 minutes away from the express bus terminal. They even offered us a lift from the train station, but we arrived by bus. Many restaurants (very good BBQ restaurant 50 meters from the motel) and shops close by. The room was huge and modern, with everything you need, big spa bathtub, TV, etc. Breakfast served directly in the room at the time you prefer (they arrived a few minutes earlier so that we were still sleeping). I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Gyeon

  Very comfortable beds, very clean rooms Hotel looks nice from the outside as the inside. Big front desk and nice looking elevators and floors. Personel helped us alot and were very nice. Breakfast is perhaps expensive w10.000 but is quite the experience! Two days were were totally alone and there was breakfast enough for 20 people! We laughed alot... vad folk säger » because of the woman from the hotel who stood by us the whole time to re-arrange the eggs and whatnot. We felt like king and queen. Big windows which - Perfect location for sightseeing - only 2 minutes to the main bus station in the center of Gyeongju. The Hotel is perfect - big rooms, a wonderful bathroom (including a whirlpool:-), and even a massage chair. Also a good continental breakfeast is served. The staff speaks english very well and was very helpfull! It was the best Hotel in our three weeks journey trough south korea!

  The owner is really helpful and you can use the facilities (kitchen and washing machine) for free. It's really important for us as we have been traveling for a few days and need to wash our clothing. We arrived at 5pm and needed to find something to eat. The lady owner offered to take us to some eating places which is famous for the local "sanbab... vad folk säger » " and she told us after meal we could walked around as the place is closed to many of the local tourist attractions. - Cute traditional house. Rooms are clean, well maintained with tv and aircon. Its provided with korean futon and pillow stuffed with barley. So you need to like sleeping on the floor! Kitchen is provided with fridge, water, egg and bread which is really nice only 4 rooms available so you feel almost like in a private house location is 2 minutes Walk from bus terminal which is very convenient to access pretty much all sites.
