  We were offered free upgrade to a villa when they do not have any non-smoking room available. The place is extremely comfortable and cosy. The staff was so helpful when my friend did not feel well around the time of the checkout and mentioned we could stay till she was feelling ok and the personal touch on offering assistance just could not be fo... vad folk säger » und in the 5 star hotel chains. - Our 2 nights-stay in the hotel was amazing. Our room was upgraded to a suite close to Gion Hatanaka. The suite was large, quiet and comfortable. We also enjoyed the kaiseki dinner as well as Geisha show. It was marvellous. The hotel staff was professional and helpful. They could communicate in English. I wish I could stay longer.

  A hidden door at the foot of the Yasaka shrine in Kyoto leads to a flight of rock stairs.... This was an amazing cultural experience. Worth every penny: the room is beautiful, with antiques and everything just so. The highlight is the food! I had two dinners and both were some of the best food I have ever eaten. Exquisitely presented on Kyoto pottery, each dish was a work of art. Breakfast was also amazing. This is a very special place- stay here if you can.   My stay of 5 nights was a truly lovely experience from arrival to departure, wonderful room design (King, level 2), everything thoughtfully arranged, lots of space to hang and put away clothes and other items, scrupulously clean, spacious shower, a calming room which was a delightful refuge after busy days out. I've lodged at many fine hotels across the glob - 1) Breakfast - European buffet was to die for!! they cook ham in front of your eyes, excellent choice of fruit, muesli, sausages, fish. 2) Spacious room. 3) Staff speaks good English and very helpful, allowed us to leave our luggage for free for 3 days even when we left for Tokyo and then didn't come back to Hyatt again. 4) Locality is really convenient for both sightseeing (next to Kyoto Museum and various temples) and logistics point (5 min from train/shinkansen station)

  The staff was very nice and kind, but I'm not the kind of costumer that makes requests. The reception were very sofisticated with a very nice design. The room had a great space and the design was lovely too. The kitchenette was really helpful! It has everything you need if you want to prepare your food in your room. In one of the most busy avenues of Kyoto but when inside what you really hear is just a slight traffic rumour. The room maids where very good, altough I usually left the towels and kimono hanging they nonetheless changed everyday.   Everything was good. Comfortable bed, very nice onsen with indoor and outdoor bath, sauna. Very clean. Breakfast is well worth the money, open buffet style with plenty of choices (mainly japanese dishes). They have noodle soup after 9 pm, free of charge! There is free wifi in the whole hotel including the rooms, which is reliable and fast. Sanjusangen-do (1000 buddhas temple) is walking distance, - Great location to visit Kyoto. Rooms are nice and very functional. Onsen, free ramen and Lawson direct access from the lobby. Service staff was very good and pleasant. They have special commodities to keep your luggage before after check in/out (brought the luggage at our room after early check in and while we were out).

  I stayed at Kyoto Tower Hotel for two nights during May. The greatest thing about this hotel is that it's very near to kyoto station and bus stop. So it's really easy for travellers to buy a one-day bus sight-seeing ticket to tour around all kyoto sights in convenience. And with JR pass, it's easy to travel to Nara and Osaka via railway. While it's about 2-3 stations away from the hub JR station, it is so close to many places of interests. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they speak english pretty well. In fact, while we were in Kyoto we lost our digital camera, when the police found it, the hotel emailed us.
