The hotel staff were simply magnificent and were always looking to help us with, for example, directions for days out of Florence, booking train tickets to Rome and restaurant reservations. The service in the restaurant was excellent and the serving of drinks and aperitivo in the library was a nice touch..

  We loved the location and experience of being in an old walled city. The residents of the city going about their work or daily activities and the children walking to catch the bus every morning was captivating. The hotel restaurant and the small local restaurants in the city were excellent.
