Hotel is the highest point on the mountain, so views of the lake and mountains below are breathtaking! Accordingly the road driving up to the hotel, was steep and winding - not for the faint-hearted driver.
Owners are friendly and breakfast was very nice.

My husband and I booked Hotel Europa for the last leg of our honeymoon

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and although fairly close to the autostrada and 3 km from the airport, we were not disturbed by any noise. In principle this is an ordinary mountaineering and/or ski/wintersport hotel located just 200 heigthmeters below the Splügen pass (2213m) in N Italy. The room offered a good bed to sleep in, and a very crampy bathroom. Good local food (dinner, breakfast) offered at the first floor.

Nice to be outside the busy tourist area of Bellagio, in this relative
wide-spot-in-the-road town. There was a nice restaurant/bar within
walking distance that seemed to be open late.. Which is nice, since
there is no store in this town. The hostess gave us very good advice on
