  The location was superb--right across from the duomo which was magnificent in itself, and this lovely small hotel had an outdoor courtyard that overlooked the piazza. My husband and I had a bottle of wine and cheese when the sun was going down, with live music filling the square, and you could not have had a more perfect night! Everything was decorated nicely, and the staff - The rooms were very clean, fresh with a beautiful ambience. The staff were extremely helpful and helped us to find restaurants for dinner. Hotel very well located right on the Duomo square. The streets have beautiful shops and wind around - it is about a 15 minute walk from the cable car/train to the hotel. The Cava Well sight was really great for all the family. Really lovely town.

  My family of 4 with senior parents, spent 14 days in italy and stayed at 5 hotels, this one has the highest score regarding Benefit/Cost ratio. The staff are extremely friendly, and the owner decorated the place with a lot of thoughts and love. We love 2 nights at the top floor. It is a 2 bedroom apt. spacious and facilities has everything you wan... vad folk säger » t. the beddings are very clean and soft. we will choose this lovely house again if visiting Orvieto next time - The receptionist is very nice and polite to us. The hotel enjoys a very good geographical location since it is in the city centre, which is around 5 minutes walk from the fabulous Duomo. Meanwhile, the room is quite cleam. We also cooked pasta in the booked room, the host gave us oil and you can have all the tableware that you need. I will also recommend this hotel to my friend who will come later to orvieto.

  A great location for Orvieto; just close enough to easily visit. This hotel is 12th century bones and the restaurant is excellent.   We enjoyed a one night stay at Hotel Posta. It was clean, comfortable, and was in a great location in the center of town. We arrived before noon and expected to leave luggage but the room was ready and we were welcomed. The grocery store was immediately across the street. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.   I loved Orvieto. It's quaint, quiet, and just beautiful. It's quintessential Italy. In the evening, after an afternoon shower, the cobbled streets glisten in the light of the street lamps like nowhere else I've ever been. The hotel was wonderful. I give this a five star rec - The room we had was delightfully furnished in a simple but tasteful style, with lovely white fluffy towels. The room we had was charming with its beams and slanting roof and the lovely terrace to sit out on. The common room we had to share with others also had charm and was a good place to sit to use the internet. We appreciated the coffee machine - great to have good coffee in the morning.

  After staying in backpackers for weeks, Hotel Umbria felt like the Hilton. The decor is not amazing, but it is clean and well kept, with everything you need. The hotel is a short walk from the train station, from which one can easily catch the funiculare (tram) into Orvieto itself. Definitely good value for money! - This is one fine, honest establishment that makes low-budget traveling attractive. It provides excellent service, fast internet, absolutely cleanand quiet, a hearty breakfast (better than in most other, more expansive places I stayed in Italy). It has convenient parking, and is close to the train that takes one up the hill to the historic center of Orvieto (from the hotel to the center it is about 15min, costing 1Euro).
