Hotel Marine is located just 5 minutes walk from the main train station in Florence. The rooms are large, clean, are in buildings that are hundreds of years old and have great character! Air conditioning works! We walked to most of the major landmarks like. Il Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and the Pantheon. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us an extra room when they had a vacancy next to ours for no extra charge. They provided the BEST breakfast buffet!

Travelling with a friend and they gave us a spacious room with a double bed and a single bed. The room was fully air-conditioned and very clean. The hotel itself is secure and only a short walk from the main train station (but unlike a lot of other cities the area around the train station is actually quite nice). It had been newly refurbished so everything was clean and felt like a hotel of a higher rating. It was perfect for my friend and I who are students, we stayed for two nights, we were primarily concerned with budget when booking and were pleasantly surprised with how lovely it was. The breakfast was also far above our expectations. This is a great place to stay if you are on a budget. It was perfect for our needs.

This hotel has a lovely atmosphere. It is family run and they are very friendly and helpful even though our Italian is poor. Santa Maria Novella Station is close and major sights are within walking distance. Breakfast was good with choices of cereal, rolls, yoghurt and fruit. It was our favourite hotel and they had a dog.

Hotel Arianna was a fantastic place to stay! We were welcomed by the owner who was the most lovely,friendly and helpful lady you could ever wish for. The staff was very good. He is very nice to introduce the interesting places to me and help me print out the ticket for museum the next day with patient. What's more, because of my train late, he was waiting for me until midnight. I'm very appreciate of everything he did. The location is also very good. It's near the train station and not far away from interesting places. I slept very well that night. The room is very comfortable and clean.
