  Kathleen and Francis are very accommodating. Brennan's is very homey not least of all because the Brennans call it home. You are likely to meet one or the other of their sons and maybe a stray grandchild. The room was tidy, homey and old-fashioned. The candy jar on the mantel was always full. There are coffee and tea things on the landing, bu... vad folk säger » t, if you are in the room at mid-afternoon Mr. or Mrs. B. will probably bring you tea and scones. Be careful at breakfast. If you eat all of the Ful - I have stayed in a lot of hotels and b&b's but this has to be the best ever and at budget price. The hosts, Kathleen and Francis, were just wonderful - so helpful and providing all sorts of little extra touches - scones and jam as extras and the best breakfasts I have had anywhere. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. I loved my stay and felt really at home.

  Breakfast at Avalon House is so good that you could not have better at a 5 star hotel. All the classic choices of a buffet breakfast are available, plus we were offered three options of cooked breakfast: classic full Irish; Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs or kippers with poached eggs. Great kippers and poached eggs, perfectly runny (the eggs that... vad folk säger » is!). Very well kept en-suite rooms, remarkably clean. Mary and Hugh are the best of hosts. We will recommend to our friends. - Stayed there last week for 4 nights with Wife and 4yr Kid..During the stay we really felt at Home.Marry and Hugh are really wonderful people could give guidance about the places to visit. Really enjoyed the stay and highly recommend Avalon.
