The convenient location, the parking and the value for money!. Location was good, close to shops and bars. Also ample secure parking. The view from the room was gorgeous, looked out onto the river, bridge and cathedral. Food was delicious. Great value for money, dinner, bed and breakfast.alla recensioner
location. Generally i would usually opt for 5 star accomodation, however, as i was only in ballina for a one night stopover the ridgepool was perfect for my needs. Room was clean, comfortable and relaxing. Staff were friendly and parking was provided.Nice surroundings. Central location. This hotel could do with a revamp. But it was value for money as all the family stayed in 1 room for €129. This hotel is grand if you are only using it for a base and are only sleeping and having breakfast.Still using Blankets on the bed but all of us sleep well , beds are very comfortable. The Rate was impressive. The location of the hotel. Not much. The room was a good size and the view through the rather dirty windows of the River Moy were the only saving graces at this hotel.Nothing. To be honest found the hotel to be of very poor quality, conference room unventilated and small, the gents toilets were a disgrace, all cubicals were blocked and over flowing, no bar or restaurant facilities, generally very poor, not to mention the state of the bathroom in the hotel room, over all I was extremely disappointed and will not be staying there again.Just found the bar a bit too warm. The room was slightly drafty as window was a bit dodgy. Only a minor thing.lobby and lift location. Chief was sick the weekend we stayed therefore ther was no food selection. We booked two single rooms, when we arrived we were told that there wasonly one twin room available. While they did give a reduction for theinconvienience we would have preferred to get two rooms as booked. I did not like the fact that i couldnt get a drink, breakfast or indeed any kind of food at the hotel. Which was quite unfortunate for me because i had arranged to meet up with some friends for dinner.that we were not informed that the leisure facilities were not in use!! no hair dryier in the room and the bathroom handle was broken!. Decor, condition of rooms. Surly staff in the breakfast room; poor choice of breakfast - we could not have tomatoes, mushrooms or marmalade. Continental breakfast was cereal, toast and yoghurt - had to clear our own table. Safety aspects alarming- got lost during a fire alarm - emergency exits physically locked or had a chair locking them - debris on stairs, some staircases so poorly lit we tripped in the poor light.Bar closed during our stay, Breakfast was awful each of the three mornings, hotel far too hot, decor very tired throughout, bathroom fan very noisy, no hot water on one occasion. No obvious sign of a manager just young girls who mostly didn't speak English as a first language.
