  Was really impressed with this hotel.Room was great,bar was great (welcoming & comfortable),staff first class.Asked them to order a taxi into Dublin & we were told about the bus for 1/10 of the cost,where the bus stops were & our notes changed into coins.All without asking.Breakfast was superb.Place spick & span & tastefully do... vad folk säger » ne out. Hotel separated from the pub via an electronic key issued to guests,so very secure.Our room was @ the front,but not noisy.We only went to Swor - The accommodations were excellent. The rooms are small but well outfitted so we had everything we needed. The restaurant & bar had a nice selection and the service was good. We had two problems: our room was directly above the area used for smokers from the bar so the smoke was very heavy even with windows closed; the heat was blasting and drunken revelers ran up and down the hallway until 4:30 in the morning and we had no way to access management for assistance.   The Adelphi is centrally located and provided an excellent base for our regrettably brief stay of two nights in Dublin. The staff were accommodating, always pleasant and keen to provide whatever service or information we required. The room was comfortable and breakfast good, whether cooked or continental.   We were pleasantly surprised by this one. I expected a backpacker hostel-type experience, but our room was on par with the nicer B&Bs and hotels we've stayed at. The staff were friendly at check-in and helped us arrange a cab to the ferry port the next day. There are stops for the Dublin Bus nearby to return to the city center, although there... vad folk säger » are also some shops and restaurants in the neighborhood (and their own pub downstairs) if you'd rather stay close for dinner. The view from the fron - Gorgeous location on the harbor.... Outside seating is plentiful. Full bar in the restaurant. Be sure to try their fish and chips and also their wings! We were staying at there hotel and thought food might not be good. We were pleasantly WRONG. All but the last of 3 days the food was excellent (we had breakfast, lunches and dinners on various days).
