  The hotel is built on the hill facing river stream. Quiet and away from traffic. 10mins walk to town. If you are lazy, there is free shuttle every hour. We stayed at Pura 2 room. Facing east and pool. Balcony is the best spot for morning sunbathing. Really nice decor. We don't mind steps and no TV like most of the people complain here.   We had a most enjoyable stay at Ubud Green Resort Villas (UGRV). We had booked Apah 1 which is their largest two bedroom villa with pool. It was very comfortable and well appointed. What thrilled us most at UGRV was the excellent service we received at all times by staff. Everyone was great. Although the location is a bit out of town, UGRV always provided for transportation to/from Ubut whenever re - The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and were knowledgeable about the attractions and activities in the area. I also liked the tranquility of the area - found Ubud centre a little crowded, so the setting of this place just a little on the outskirts was a plus point. The shuttle service provided ensures that even if you dont have your own transport, you can travel into Ubud centre with ease.

  First I would like to say a big thank you for all the staff and management at The Mansion Hotel. The hotel itself is a reflection of the Balinese culture.   The hotel was among the pictureque rice fields and forests, away from the main tourist area - very quiet and relaxing. Our unit had it's own garden with a little hut with thatched roof in it.   Only stayed 2 nights here. Got here quite late, the staff were very welcoming and even though the hotels kitchens were closed they found us a restaurant that was still serving food. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was spotless and very nice, the outdoor bathroom was wonderful, de pool refreshing and charming. Any question was answered on the spot, any request taken care of instantly.   Komaneka at Bisma is located in an incredible setting overlooking rice paddies and the pool. The suites are large and have a great balcony. The staff are exceptional. They made us feel like family and we enjoyed them as much as the hotel! We had a one year old with us and they often watched him while we finished our meal. They also connected us with a driver /guid - Lovely setting, just a short distance from central Ubud. Beautiful rooms, with a large terrace complete with sun loungers from where you can enjoy the lovely views of palm trees and some paddy fields, and the infinity pool. Liked the touches like the bedtime reading stories which were placed bedside at the turn down service. The breakfast was a veritable feast every day with lots of choice. Make sure you sample the snacks at tea time, too. A delightful place to base yourself in Ubud.

  In a nutshell, absolutely everything. My girlfriend and I were in the final week of a long holiday and, after a touch of backpacking across Thailand, needed a place to wind down. We could not have found a more perfect place. Although the Sungu doesn't have a 5* rating, we had stayed (earlier in our travels) at 5* hotels in Dubai and Bangkok, and w... vad folk säger » e were left happy that the Sungu did not fall short. The attitude of the staff was exceptional; they were all so happy to fulfill anything we asked of - Wonderful stay here at the Sungu. Lanai was delightful, loved the outside bathroom and looking up at the stars whilst taking a shower at night. Loved swimming in our Lanai pool looking at the stars at night. Loved the breakfast/Dining room and the staff were lovely. We had a 15year old and a 6 year old with us and all they can both talk about was how much they loved staying at the Sungu. Would recommend this place in Ubud to anyone.
