  This hotel was well located by car, but a good 45 minute walk into the centre of Ubud. While they do offer a complimentary shuttle car, I would recommend the walk if you want to meet locals, see local shops and houses and get a better feel for the place.The grounds are spacious with beautiful rice paddies surrounding the property. The staff greet you by name and I liked the fact that the manager took the time to meet me and say good bye - We loved everything. The service was amazing and you never wanted for anything. You couldn't put your finger on what exactly was the magic at this hotel, but that's the exact point. You didnt' want for anything, nor did you have to ask for anything. True Bliss.

  This hotel just rocked our world! The best hotel we've ever stayed in, and all thanks to the stuff and the amazing job they do. It's all in details and they always think one step ahead. Loved the rice paddy walks and the staff were always very friendly, happy and helpful. It was so good we are planning to go back again next year but also with our older children 20's to show them what Bali is really about and not the noise and chaos of Kuta. Highly recommended.

  The hotel was among the pictureque rice fields and forests, away from the main tourist area - very quiet and relaxing. Our unit had it's own garden with a little hut with thatched roof in it. We saw lots of stars in the clear night and monkeys in the trees above the rice fields in the morning.   Komaneka at Bisma is located in an incredible setting overlooking rice paddies and the pool. The suites are large and have a great balcony. The staff are exceptional. They made us feel like family and we enjoyed them as much as the hotel! We had a one year old with us and they often watched him while we finished our meal. They also connected us with a driver /guid - Lovely setting, just a short distance from central Ubud. Beautiful rooms, with a large terrace complete with sun loungers from where you can enjoy the lovely views of palm trees and some paddy fields, and the infinity pool. Liked the touches like the bedtime reading stories which were placed bedside at the turn down service. The breakfast was a veritable feast every day with lots of choice. Make sure you sample the snacks at tea time, too. A delightful place to base yourself in Ubud.

  It was our first time to Bali and we read so much about how Ubud was the "True bali" and wanted to stay somewhere away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and Seminyak beach to start off our holiday. This was easily the best resort I have ever stayed in (and I have stayed at many many 5 star resorts!) and the biggest reason for that has to be the ever-smiling and hyper-efficient staff.
