  We just returned from a stay at the Mariahilf Hotel. The hotel is completely charming, family run and totally gracious. The rooms were spacious, clean and charmingly decorated with vintage pieces. We had chocolates on our pillows, luxury toiletries in the bathrooms and a hot and cold breakfast. My son is 16, tall and skinny. He is constantly... vad folk säger » eating and walked away from the breakfast unable to eat another thing. The hotel is well appointed for a comfortable walk to most sites. We visi - A very very nice hotel only 30 min walking distance from the old city. The district Mariahilf is a very quite and cozy place of Munich. Surrounded by parks and quite small streets. The hotel itself is in 5 stored building built after the Second Warld War. Interior is old fashion stylized. Wooden furniture, carpets, nice old fashioned curtains, beds are with wooden or metal frames. Very cozy. The owners are extremely responsive and try to help with advises.   It's great to go on holiday and have your own apartment. It was really comfortable. We had a huge sofa and a plasma screen. It is really close to the city centre and the shopping streets. It has several restaurants nearby (one is at the ground floor of the hotel) and a pub next door. People at the reception desk are really nice and helpful, though... vad folk säger » sometimes they don't really know what you're asking for because they're not much into excursions, train timetables, etc. However, they helped us as m - It was an excellent location just off the main shopping street in Munich. We were two underground stops from the main railway station and in walking distance of many of the attractions. The staff were friendly and the rooms were large, with a separate kitchen and bathroom. We slept three people comfortably. Self laundry facilities were available. The reception and other staff were very friendly and helpful.
