Freiburg is a pretty pricey place with a shortage of cheap hotels for the Sterling traveller and this is one of the more reasonable though at £50 per night it's not quite budget. But it was extremely clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The wifi was good which is becoming an essential these days. The hotel is not in the town centre - in fact it appears to be some way up what seemed at first a quiet residential suburb but there were in fact at least 4 hotels within a few ya.
alla recensioner » Very nice place, near the exit to the highway, close to the big and cheap supermarket. Also, it is not far from the city center (5 km). We very liked our family appartments - big, comfortable, clean. Very clean, quiet and comfortable, english spoken, good breakfast, free parking, free wifi, handy to tram for easy access to town. It's a good base to explore the Black Forrest. Everything this was a great well run hotel on the outskirts of the city with an easy tram ride to the city and great walks along the river. Very good breakfast. 5 minute walk to the tram station and eight stops to the centre. Peaceful location. Free parking. Friendly and efficient. Convenient to reach. Comfortable and clean. Good breakfast. The hostess provided us with a closed parking for our motorbike. Close to highway Easy parking. Good location, very clean, good breakfast and friendly breakfast staff. Location and comfortable bed. This was a clean and well run B and B more than a hotel. However, would stay another time if we were in need of a bed for the night. Peaceful. Close to public transport. MC i garage / MC in garage Elevator. Would have preferred something more central however it was convenient enough for town for me to go home in the afternoon and back out again in the evening. Breakfast could have been better.Reception was not very friendly or helpful. Beds are too hard and I kept waking up with sore bones. Seemed to be no public areas for guests other than breakfast room. The room has no fridge. The district has nothing to do. No supermarket to buy food. Breakfast is pretty meager. Pillows are thin and worn, but were varied at our request. Need luck to eat in the evening, as all three restaurants nearby are filled to full capacity. Tram line to get there from train station when you are lugging luggage as the tram line is narrow and always crowded as Freiburg is a college town. Would stay elsewhere next time.... Location is the issue.... Not the hotel as it was fine. Could clearly hear coughing and morning alarms from adjoining rooms. Beds hard. Breakfast only basic compared to German standards. Intet personale / no staff Ingen A/C / no A/C Lugtende toilet fra tørlagt bruser/ smelly bathroom from dryed out shower.
