  Very nice and well-kept small hotel, the owner taking are of many things herself, we really enjoyed our stay there - Friendly staff - willingness to accommodate our need for early breakfast plus choice at breakfast time

  Hotel was very quaint. We were told that it was built in the 16th century. Great location, just far enough away to walk to bars and restaurants but just far enough away from the noise, however there is still some noise when people were heading home. Breakfast was good with a varied choice and replenished on a regular basis, so you don - The location of the Comtes de Champagne is perfect for exploring the centre of Troyes. This was an unexpected pleasure and we spent hours wandering through the little winding streets. We were pleased that the hotel provided secure parking. The hotel is very atmospheric, with many interesting features which reflect its history. Breakfast was plentiful and efficiently served. Bathroom and bedding were clean

  My partner and I chose to stay overnight at this hotel for its restaurant Le Royal. In the Michelin app it is listed as 'Traditionnel, Classique'. And that's exactly what it is. Good gourmet food for a very reasonable price; a three-course menu for under €30 is excellent value including a cheese trolley and/or dessert trolley! Overall the hotel is a bit dated but at the price is good value for mo - Our room (superior double) was good and the bathroom, huge but our friend's (single) room was very small.   The staff were really friendly, they had lots of information/leaflets for tourists and, as someone who has never visited Troyes (but have wanted to for years) I was thrilled with the hotel's proximity to the charming, historic city centre.   Great little studio apartment close to the train station and easy to find. The apartment itself had everything that we needed: fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom with a great shower and a separate toilet, very comfortable futon bed (more comfortable than some beds) and laundry facilities.
