We must mention the good service given at the Tourist - The hotel was perfectly situated for beach, shopping and all of Ste Maxime's amenities. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were plentiful and served in the beautiful garden, it made the perfect start to each day. We had a room with a terrace so could spend time just around the hotel and in our room it was a very special holiday.

  The location was particularly good - bang in the centre of town. Beach a stone throw away and the breakfast at the local market was just excellent. Not to mention the staff who were very friendly. Hotel reception was the lady owner's drawing room/ lobby which was very charming and we loved the cats wandering freely in and out.   We have stayed before and will hopefully stay again. Gassin is a classic hilltop village near to St Tropez and the beaches, so in terms of location it is just superb. As a hotel / restaurant this ticks all the boxes especially as the food is inspired by Provence. The staff are just delightful.   If you are seeking French charm instead of universal modernity, this is the place for you. A bit quirky, but absolutely wonderful in every phase. The views are stunning, the room was comfortable with a large bed and the shower had lots of hot water. Dinner is excellent with limited choices, but they are - Hotel is in an excellent location overlooking the bay, with superb dining with panoramic views. Stall is friendly and well trained. Restaurant is excellent as well, but does not serve lunch Tues. and Wed. However, there are many fine restaurants in Bandol. I don't know about their language skills, as we are also French-speaking, but there was an American couple there, and they were very pleased as well.
