  The hotel is 3 min walk from the beach. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around. The city itself is idyllic, clean and beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and nicely designed. It is 20 min drive from San Malo and 50 min from Mont Saint Michel. Personnel is friendly and English speaking. Indoor parking for our car was expensive but very secure and accessible whenever we required it. The breakfasts were very good and the room used was absolutely lovely.

  We have only recently discovered the Brit hotel chain and they are ideal for overnight stops or perhaps as a base for a couple of nights for exploring a city. They seem to be a step up from Ibis and Campanile hotels we have used in the past for overnight stops.   La Maison des Armateurs was in a wonderful location (although St. Malo is so small I'm not sure there is a "bad" location). The staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean, bright and tastefully decorated. - Size of family room and the break fast area was very trendy. Great location and within walking distance of everything.

  I have stayed in this hotel one night during my short trip from Paris to Mont Saint Michel / St. Malo with my family (my wife and 2 kids). The family room with 4 single beds was decent and clean. The staff were very kind and gave us sufficient information in English.
