  The Chateau is unpretentious, nicely renovated and good value. We had an enormous corner room overlooking the river. A very quiet and picturesque area. The owners and staff are very friendly. Finding dinner was challenging however, the A la Ferme hotel in Osthouse has an excellent bistro and restaurant. It helps if you speak french, or at least un... vad folk säger » derstand a french menu, owners are helpful. - We found Chateau De Werde absolutely charming. It is situated in superb grounds which included a lake, chapel and river! It was everything we had hoped for (and a lot more!). If you are a couple looking for a romantic place to stay in the Alsace region, then this is the place to stay.

  the location was great. walking distance to all the tourist sites as well as restaurants and shops. the rooms were very spacious and the cooking facilities to make breakfast or snacks were sufficient. Real cooking may have been too much for the size of the room. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. Should anyone wish to s... vad folk säger » tay longer than a couple of days and do some serious cooking, make sure you bring dish washing brush, soap or tablets for the dishwasher. - We had the two bedroom apartment which was perfect for our family of 5 and a rare find in Europe. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space to move around. The staff were friendly and helpful in finding the sights and a restaurant for dinner. Our kids loved the pool, too. I would definitely recommend!
