  Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we stepped inside this beautifully restored 16th Century French guest house we felt at home. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and delightfully decorated. Eugenie was the perfect host, bringing us hot tea in the evening and preparing for us a deliciously healthy breakfast... vad folk säger » consisting of fresh fruit salad, home made yogurt, cereal, warm croissants, baguettes and hot coffee. It was a wonderful experience I am so glad I bo - This is a very funky place. House has some claim to being the oldest in Orleans, and could be marketed as a museum with its enormous beams and crooked joists in the ceilings, leaded windows, and narrow spiral staircase with 3" thick treads. Two large rooms, one on the 3rd, one on the 4th floor. Lots of miscellaneous furniture in each. Nichole was very entertaining, full of anecdotes and opinions. Also very helpful. Wonderful breads at breakfast.

  Very close to good public transport. It is still within reasonable walking distance to the centre though. About 15 minutes. Correct laneway access does confuse satnav as it dosn't recognise street. But we still found it easy enough though. Good value for money.
