  Apart from the 1 minor gripe this hotel was absolutely brilliant with staff that were friendly and extremely helpful to the very clean hotel room. We travel through France to Spain regularly and me andmy wife both agreed that we would stay at theis hotel again. - Everything, we ate in the restaurant and it was an eat as much as you can buffet and... vad folk säger » the food was good.   Staff very friendly and helpful, stopped one night on way to Spain, reception gave us a map and info on where to park for free so could look around Pau. 5, 10 min drive. T and coffee facilities in room. parking on site, OK for stopover.

  The proximity to the town centre make this a good choice. To arrive late in the evening and find tea and coffee facilities in the room was most welcome especially as this is by no means the norm in France!   The hotel was excellent in all respects. The room was the largest I hadin the nine places I stayed in France. The staff was friendly and fluentin English. There is ample parking inside the gate. Easy access toshopping, food, the chateau. Overnight laundry service, but I used thelaundromat around the corner.   Generally we only take 4 stars Hotels. I booked this one through letsbookhotel.com (the day of our arrival) because of the good ratings given by previous guests. We traveled with our daughter and asked for a 3 persons room. We got a kind of Suite with 2 separate rooms. Both had flat screen TV. Aircondition worked very well.   This is a clean, cozy bed and breakfast situated in Pau, a tiny historic city in the heart of Pyre´nee´s-Atlantiques, on the banks of Gave de Pau a tributary of the River Ardour. The owner was also english speaking and he helped a lot with directions & where to visit as we wanted to see a mountain stage of Le Tour de France. Free off street parking was a great bonus plus a safe place to keep our bicycle. Nothing was too much trouble.

  This is a budget hotel with good but basic facilities. It is close to the autoroute (but you don't hear the traffic (nor the other occupants) as the rooms are soundproofed). The rooms are clean.
