  Fantastic location, a stone,s throw from the cathedral and the old town of Chartres. Very helpful map sent beforehand by the hotel with info for where to park to drop off luggage. Free car park pass from the hotel for the underground car park which was a five minute walk away. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Also the little train which goes around the old town is a good way to see the lights on the other buildings aro - The location right next to the Cathedral is wonderful and this puts you in the best place for exploring Chartres. The breakfast was fabulous. The manageress/owner was lovely and really helpful. The parking (included in the room rate) in a nearby public car park is easily arranged with the hotel. The room Les Anges was beautiful - very romantic, with views to the front and rear of the hotel, a screened-off sitting area and a bathroom with jacuzzi bath. We will definitely return.

  Shower! Felt great after a week of small Normandy hotels with handheld showers. Good choices at buffet breakfast. Quite. Parking a plus. Staff helped with getting another rental car, made phone calls, after ours had a flat tire. - Very clean and most of the staff very nice. Most of the service was excellant.

  Hotel Marmotte is a budget hotel, but a very pleasant one. The room was tiny but for a quick overnight stay, it is all you need. We used their restraurant for breakfast. We chose to walk out to the nearby Courtepaille restaurant for dinner. - Very quiet, free wifi, great (helpful) staff, okay resources (big bed, heater in room, full length mirror, ... vad folk säger » TV).   Great location, close to the Cathedral and right opposite the Benedictine abbey church of St. Pierre. There is public parking available but during the day it might be difficult to secure a place close to the hotel. We arrived sometime after 6.00pm when it was a little quieter and managed to park very close indeed. The hotel was charming; beautifully furnished and well designed in a very old buil - Charming owners made you feel at home in an extremely relaxed environment. The building was very old and beautiful on the outside but absolutely up to date and contemporary in the room itself which had a beautiful view of the cathedral and Chartres. I strongly recommend this accommodation.

  The hotel was extremely convenient for the city and old town - which was what we had come to see, after all. With Ibis Hotels, you know exactly the standard to expect - a little bland, perhaps, but always everything there that should be there, and with well-trained and courteous staff, who were effortlessly helpful and pleasant.   Wonderful staff, beautiful room, lovely building. We got trapped at an exit from the motorway, and showed up rather late. The proprietor welcomed us warmly, and pointed us to a place where we could still get a bite to eat. We chose it because we were visiting the Cathedral and it was close. Next time, we will go to Chartres to stay here, and maybe... vad folk säger » visit the Cathedral! - One night stop before the cathedrals in the Loire Valley. Loft room with coffee/tea just outside the door. Quiet but convenient to the Chartes Cathedral. Pleasant city. Amble room but not large. Everything we needed.
