  We took a gamble on this property as there were no reviews but it was definitely worth it. Ideally located between the newer part of town and the Cite, minutes walk from the river and the footbridge that crosses to the Cite.   This is the most well equipped gite that we have ever stayed in. Martine was extremely helpful and despite our limited understanding of French we generally managed to understand her instructions and advice. Her husband Claude is also very nice and we trust he was not too disappointed when the Kiwis played the French Rugby League team.   The apartment is actually a three storey town house with a roof terrace with views towards the citadel. It is 5 mins walk from the citadel and 5 mins to the main part of Carcassonne. We took possession as soon as we arrived and Evelyn could not have been more helpful. It is a beautifully equipped property and so well located.
