  We stayed for 5 nights from March 28 to April 2. They granted us all our requests: big carpeted room with king-sized bed and nice view. Thanks Ms Jenny of reservations whom I had been coordinating with via email! The hotel is very near the Chongwenmen subway station (lines 2 & 5). Please make sure you get your ic card (reloadable subway ticket... vad folk säger » ). It is the the cheapest and most efficient way to get around Beijing. You can also use it in buses. The hotel is also directly connected to New Worl - The staff, especially Julia, was quick to respond to our needs and complaints. We were transferred to the upper floor when we complained about the noise from the renovation and to a non-smoking floor as requested. The room and the double bed are big and comfortable, the linens and bath towels are fresh. Free coffee and tea. The tv channels include hbo and English news.   The comfort of the beds is extraordinary, so is the quality of the food at breakfast and in the italian restaurant. Staff is friendly and helpful. We still could use the pool area after checkout. 10min walking to the rail station and subway. - Very good hotel, well laid out and clean rooms. Staff are very friendly despite the language barrier.

  Staff is very kind - one of our young guests (11-years boy) forgot his passport in hotel and we were very happy when we called hotel 6 hours later and were informed that his passport was found and now we can get it - and so we did immediately, our flight was not cancelled.   Our entire family enjoyed our stay at the Peninsula. The room was spacious, clean and thoughtfully designed. I love how the desk area is separated from the rest of the room. It allows me to do some work while the kids are watching a movie. We really liked the rooms even though you should be prepared for having a bathroom and a toilet in the same room where you sleep - we knew it and we didn't mind :)

  The staff were incredibly polite and the service was impeccable. They were also very helpful in providing us with "local knowledge" of where to go have fun, have good food etc etc. The room itself was huge.
