  What a classic! I loved it and felt that I was a part of the real Victoria that many never see. The quiet location within walking distance of the downtown and transit to the rest of town was great. The staff did not fall all over us which to me is more comfortable than being fussed over. They were pleasant, helpful and unobtrusive. This gave me a chance to walk down the wonderful staircase admire th - Firstly, one needs to compare the day rate between the Empress and the Inn. The Empress is only a few blocks away, free parking, free wi-fi, also doesn't have air conditioning....and is almost $300 more a day. As I didn't need to spend a lot of time in my room, the size didn't matter. However, security and cleanliness was key and the Inn met those very well. The restaurant is excellent. The staff very friendly and helpful. Although there is no elevator, staff will carry the luggage. This is a g

  The rooms were very clean and inviting, staff friendly and responsive. The motel reminded us of an old fashioned motor court, right out of the 60's. We had a great night's sleep. - Easy to access-park infront of your room-recently renovated-clean-good sized room-staff were very nice-asked for a kettle and they brought us a choice of two.
