  When we looked at the write up online we were concerned that The Meininger may be a bit too basic and aimed at the young backpacker. Whilst 'yes' a large part of the people staying were young and backpackers, we fittied in very well (We are just in our 50s !). I stayed there with my partner and another couple and it was perfect considering we really only slept there. We stayed in the room with two single beds and a bunk and there was plenty of room. The room was spacious, the bathroom larger and better than the 5 star hotels I have stayed at. I did not try the breakfast, but the lounge, where it was served looked great. Overall one of the best - Friendly staff, a parking garage near the hotel for 15 euro's a day, wifi, the room was nice and clean, very close to metro station Botanique, a supermarket (Carrefour) next to the hotel. We didn't ate breakfast at the hotel, but bought some orange juice and croissants in the supermarket and ate them on a bench in the park next to Botanique.
