  Great location just out of Salzburg. If you're not traveling by car it could be a bit out of the way. We're in the area quite often so we have no issues with driving into town so it wasn't an issue. Check for public transportation if you're taking the train into town. But after having been thereand experiencing first hand none of those negative comments applied. We experienced no noise. - The Star Hotel in Salzburg was brilliant! its location to the city,via a walk through a pedestrian tunnel puts you within a hundred metres of the main shopping area.Our room was spotlessly clean and although it overlooked the main road into the city we did not experience any roadnoise.The staff were always very polite and smiling(a rare commodity these days).
