  With a 3 year old who loves water the pool was brilliant. The location of the units was also excellent being just 75 metres from the beach and 5 minutes walk into town. It was very quiet being off the main road and the upstairs rooms are shaded by treetops. - Apartments are very child friendly.   We loved Anne who works at the resort. She clearly has been in the area and business for a long time and goes out of her way to ensure that her knowledge of the best tours to go on and places to eat are put to good use! We came late and had no trouble getting in and when we said we were leaving in the afternoon Anne organised great transfers and w... vad folk säger » as so accommodating with a late check in. Super friendly and great lady, even waited to wave us off as we left, we couldn't have asked for more. - Anne, the host was, very welcoming and was very very helpful with advice regarding eating, shopping, tours etc plus explaining all the things available at the Freestyle Resort. The room had everything we wanted to make our stay comfortable. It was only a block away from CBD which meant it was quiet and also there was a short forced exercise/walk every time we wanted to go somewhere which was good.In summary! A good all rounder.

  The Outrigger Apartments were very well located for both the town of Port Douglas and the beach. The living area in our two bedroomed apartment was spacious and well equipped and the apartment itself was all that we needed for our stay. The Owner /Managers were very helpful and welcoming.   Excellent place to stay and relax in Port Douglas. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and this made all the difference. The facilities are very good (pool, laundry) and the location is within walking distance of Port Douglas attractions. - Five minute walk from the beach across an oval and a park. Very quiet at night.   We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a spa on the balcony. Apartment had everything we needed was clean and the spa was a nice relaxing addition. The bed was more comfortable than my own. The owners Sheryl and Bob were lovely and advised us on tours and booked us into them. Lovely king sized bed. Good lounge and dining facilities. The hot Tub on the balcony was an unexpected bonus.   Stayed here for four nights in October would have loved longer. Checked in late after reception closed our lamps were lit tea coffee and milk left for us and radio playing relaxing music! Next day Sue was so helpful and organised trips to Daintree and the reef suited to our requirements with minimal fuss. Lovely comfortable accommodation and pool convenient to everything especially the wide range of exc - Verandahs is in a great location, so close to everything, no car needed. Older children can safely move between Verandahs, the shops and the beach on their own. Sue was a real pleasure to meet and very helpful. The two bedroom, two bathroom apartment was spacious enough for 4 adults and well equipped. Overall stay was really relaxing.
