Good value at 99 dollars. Didn't expect much at that price so close
to city centre. Pleasantly surprised to find it was a proper hotel room
with all the facilities...full cooked breakfast included in the price.
Staff were efficient and helpful although things got slightly confused
when I decided to extend my stay by extra night. Wanted me to check out

We loved getting to know the History of the place which we roughly knew, but the posters and billboards provided us with lots of conversation over Dinner. Mind you the mian purpose was to enjoy one anothers company and to make contact after many years. It was perfect! the food good and the service friendly and very efficient. -

The two bedroom apartment suited our family group of 3 adults and two children with the addition of a single bed. Easy access from the basement garage to the fourth floor to a well appointed and bright apartment - the king beds were divine. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you. -

Great location, close to Canberra main attractions (Old and New Parliament House; National Gallery; National Library; Lake Burley Griffin). Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious apartment. Quiet and comfortable. Homely feel. Very close to a precinct with good restaurants, bar, supermarket etc. Felt like a place one could stay for two weeks and have a real holiday!

The apartment was very big! We had lots of space.It felt like home. We loved having a separate laundry room in our apartment. Excellent service. Had to drop our bags to get to a function and when we returned late that evening we were all checked in, keys ready and bags in our room. Room service was great. -
I loved the modern, clean, spacious room with the scrumptious buffet breakfast and went back a second time. I will definitely be staying here when visiting Canberra

We were contacted to advise they had had a cancellation of a twin room on the high floor (as I had phoned after booking to request this if possible). Reservations most helpful. Our view to the lake was amazing and only 5 mins walk to the Floriade we had come to see. We had sliding doors to a narrow balcony which allowed us to get freshair into the room and further enjoy the city and lake views which also included the Telstra Tower on the far mountain. Superbly clean, even when using the eco-friendly cleaning option (by which you elect to reuse your linen and not to have powered appliances used to clean the room - a good option to have offered). Beautifully appointed room and bathroom. Fantastic location, with excellent dining options in the hotel and nearby (and artisan bakery is next door).

The staff were VERY accommodating and allowed a late checkout at no extra cost. This was very helpful as it saved the hassle of waking up early after a long drive from melbourne. We had a toddler so the extra hour sleep-in was appreciated!

We loved Canberra. As for the Diplomat, we enjoyed the proximity to Manuka, Kingston and the Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets - the latter two within walking distance for the reasonably fit so we particularly enjoyed walking to them for breakfast in the morning. Everything!!! Beds were comfy the shower pressure and hot water was fantastic. I loved how close it was to airport and the lovely Manuka restaurant area. I will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family as we will be travelling a lot to Canberra as our son is stationed at Duntroon Army Barracks
