  Everything! This "hotel" seemed more a short-term apartment rental. The room was great, very clean, very big (bigger than our NYC apartment). It included a full kitchen, nice bathroom with a tub (a first in our travels to South America), couch, dining room area, comfortable bed, great lighting, and a balcony with a partial view of the cemetery, an... vad folk säger » d a view of the pool. The breakfast was your typical South American pastries with Ham and cheese, but was brought to your room, instead of eating in a - Great location on Recoleta Plaza with a view of the famous cemetery. Greenery and cafes just across the street. Very helpful English speaking desk staff in this small "apartment " hotel. Every room seems to be identical with a kitchen and sitting area that would make it convenient for families or people staying longer.

  From reading other reviews before we chose Galarias Hotel, other reviewers mentioned that the entrance to the hotel is on a small narrow street. This is true, but it is just a half a block west of a main shopping pedestrian walkway. If you like being in the daily hustle- bustle of the locals, this is a good spot.   Our room, number 5, was very confortable and spacious. Large closet. The staff is helpful and efficient. A relative came to visit, we stayed in the sofa in the groud floor for a couple of hours and they offered us some coffee (free!). The neighbourhood is great, and the street is not noisy. - Good location, friendly welcome. Efficient front desk

  Without question....the staff is unbeatable! The owner and son are on premise for most of each day. They have a great team of people. Most all spoke English fluently. The entire team is SUPER helpful and accommodating. Can't say enough about them! The location is fantastic: shopping, walking, dining, several churches within walking distanc... vad folk säger » e, active nightlife with a myriad of sidewalk cafes, and yet....even with our windows open all night, we heard little to no noise. Transportation is - The staff was professional and very kind. I felt very safe in the hotel as a foreigner and would recommend this hotel to everyone! It's walking distance to all the hip neighborhoods and great tourist attractions. Thank you for a wonderful stay! I will be back.
