It was terrific. Staff very very welcoming and friendly. Facilities (like the coffee station and free WiFi) were excellent. Breakfast was great - loads of choice and the packed breakfast option was really of benefit on the morning I had to leave the hotel early. Location was terrific to see all the sights of DC. The common areas were quite comfortable and spacious. Rachel in the breakfast area was very polite and efficient. She could have used some help from additional staff on Sunday morning. On Monday, the manager was assisting her with keeping up with the food demands of the guests. The rooms were spacious, quiet and very comfortable.

I stayed at the hotel with my 18 year old son, both of us thought the Melrose was a very good hotel with large very comfortable rooms. The location was very good 15 min walk to the Lincoln Memorial or White House and only 5 min to Georgetown or the Metro. Location is great for sight seeing. We were able to walk to everything and Metro is half block away if needed. Staff was very friendly and had nice recommendations for places to eat. The staff were courteous and helpful. Liked the Starbucks down on the ground floor. Loved the fact it was above Metro Center and around the corner from the White House, Spy Museum, Crime Museum and some high street brands plus Macy's across the street. Also within walking distance to Chinatown and restaurants. Very central and accessible because of subway below.
Good breakfast. appreciated the fact it had free laundry room use - very important as we were on the road for a month.

Good location, easy to get food, transportation, walking distance to all major museum and tourist spot. 5minutes walk to Chinatown. Spy Museum is just next door. feel free to vist the bar and restaurant on hotel ground floor, their beer and food are superb! Trust me, you won't regret.

We thoiught the staff were - to a person - friendly, helpful, charming and really seemed to go out of their way to help us. The kids loved the St. Regis bags they received. There was a slight problem with our booking which was sorted out in a timely and efficient manner - everyone - from the concierge staff to the reception people were friendly and charming! Well done to all of them! WE will DEFINITELY be back!

The Dupont Circle provided a special experience from the moment we arrived. The design was contemporary with a touch of luxury but the atmosphere was relaxing and not pompous. The location was perfect for my husband and I and we thoroughly enjoyed the walk to the national monuments (about 30 mins). The Dupont cafe menu and food were very enjoyable

The hotel appeared to have been recently renovated, and the rooms and public spaces were clean and stylishly modern in look. The location was TERRIFIC. Easy access to Metro. Tons of restos and stores within walking distance.
The employees we dealt with were courteous and very responsive. All in all, it was a great place to stay for a long weekend in DC.

We loved the location. Right on GW campus around the corner from a major metro stop (foggy bottom) and Whole Foods. Walking distance to the Mall - Lincoln Memorial. Good restaurants (especially "Founding Farmers") around the corner. Whole Foods was very convenient to get healthy food to have in the suite. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We thought it was a great value for the location!

This hotel was wonderful. Seck took great care to always make you feel
you were at home. The room was large enough for our 3 teenage/adult
children and us. The kitchen was nice and convenient for breakfasts
prior to venturing out to the many attractions in dc. The mojito hour
was also a nice touch. Trader Joe's across the street, Flavors of
India next door, and Baja Fresh down the block made for eating to be
