I was upgraded on arrival to a suite and a late check out the day I left. I had a very bad fall on my second day in Washington and the staff were excellent, helped me get cleaned up, find a clinic, and sent me fruit and a card to wish me a speedy recovery. I stayed at the hotel with my 18 year old son, both of us thought the Melrose was a very good hotel with large very comfortable rooms. The location was very good 15 min walk to the Lincoln Memorial or White House and only 5 min to Georgetown or the Metro. Everything at the the hotel was top of the line, from the staff to the pillows. They gave new gym cloth in order to stay at the fitness center until it was time to go to the airport. Thank you. - Its a beautiful hotel in the heart of Foggy Bottom. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean.
