The room we stayed at was very good with comfortable beds. The couple that host us was really nice and even checked what kind of breakfast we would love to eat. They helped us with where to go in dc And by the end they took us to the bus station because we had a lot of luggage. Also the place is close to the train station. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a place to stay

We were flying from DCA - so a quick 5 min walk to metro and we were at the airport < 30mins!!

As far as "sketchy" people in the area I will say this, there is a mix of people in the area & there are pan handlers all over dc, even by the White House.
