  Having normally called reviewers massive saddos looks like I'm becoming one of them, but I felt this place needed a helping hand from the "Oooh light coming through the door" "Ooohcreaky floorboard" bellends that have previously reviewed. Wine menu was extensive with varied pricing and I'd hazard a guess that the few ales weren't three bad - Stayed for a few nights on business as I was working locally in Shepton Mallet. The Dusthole was ideal in that it was within the budget I had been given for bed, breakfast and evening meal (a meagre £75 per night). The food was of a high standard, all locally sourced (not a Brakes Brothers/3663 lorry in sight!) and cooked to order on the premises.   Relaxed and laid back atmosphere was great, could float around in our spa gowns and slippers. Lovely room, breakfast was amazing. Some spa hotels have a strict check in at 3pm and leave by 11am, Charlton House were happy to let us use the spa for as long as we liked both on day of arrival and departure. Important details such as good quality linen/ bedding/ towels/cutlery etc did not disappoint.

  The hotel and its fascilities were second to none. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and was full of charachter. The food was amazing with a great dining room service. Montys spa was great, clean and we had a couple of treatments which were again very good.
